Harwood Arms Revisited

It’s been a year since my last dinner at Harwood Arms, the one Michelin starred gastropub.  The food is still top quality with a strong British menu. What we had:

Crispy hen egg with white bacon, artichokes and hazelnuts

Chestnut with wild mushroom soup, spelt dumplings and potted pheasant

Belly and cheek of Middlewhite pork with celeriac, white cabbage and apple

Braised shoulder of Herdwick lamb with rosemary curd, artichokes and garlic

Quince trifle
